Centrists can be First Amendment absolutists, Second Amendment absolutists, think allowing kids to make life-altering decisions is an abdication of parental responsibility, and be opposed to late-term abortions. They can be in favor of some government programs but not others. They can believe that everyone is entitled to the same civil rights but opposed to fiscal irresponsibility. Why would you think they're fence-sitting EVERY issue? That's not how it works. That's not how ANY of this works!
