  1. Why is housing so expensive? No mystery there. It's the state capital. It has one of the coolest Capitol designs in America. It's a tourist mecca. It's a center of art and culture. It's full of beautiful historic buildings and has strong codes to protect the public realm. It's surrounded by natural treasures, recreational areas, and incredible scenery. Lots of people who enjoy high desert environments really want to live there. It only took me one visit to get why. I've been there quite a few times and look forward to my next visit.
