  1. It sure is! Our neighbor in Hawaii had one and it overhung our yard. The rule was that if one dropped on your yard or head (ouch!) it was yours. We had bananas in our yard and traded them to other neighbors for other fruits. All the other plants in our neighborhood were decorative, beautiful, and quite poisonous. Important safety tip: Hawaii will try to kill you if you're not paying attention. When you arrive, your first gift is a lei made from the flowers of poisonous plants that smiling women put around your neck. Take the hint! There are venomous millipedes, conches, fish, and other nasties everywhere. Aloha and have fun!
