I didn't realize that this was a comedy channel. The more you know...

Hooray! This is EXACTLY what the economy needed! I can feel the looming threat of hyperinflation dissipating as I type...

Um... We'll, um, need to, um, circle back, um, to you, um, on that.

"Brave Sir Robin ran away, Bravely ran away, away. When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled. Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about And gallantly, he chickened out. Bravely taking to his feet, He beat a very brave retreat, Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin."

Because a bunch of gullible half-wits with no math skills and ouchies on their fee-fees thought that mean tweets were a political issue.

What are they doing about those 11,000 or so pipeline jobs they vaporized with a stroke of a pen? Asking for a pipeline welder friend.

@tonys32948376 Nice try, China. Not! You aren't fooling anyone with that nonsensical word salad.

They absolutely do. They just don't give a flip about OURS.

The pandemic didn't take anything away in the sense you mean. Our so-called "leaders" did that.

@annahayden You made it your job when you asserted that citizens were being deprived of their voting rights. It's funny how "y'all" make absurd, unsupported claims and then resort to name-calling when asked to support your fictitious assertions. But sure, I'm the "looney guy" ranting on the internet. I'd ask you to support your psychoanalysis with any quotation of mine that counts as "looney" but we both know that you have no actual evidence for that, either. Good luck in life.
3
Barr Stool There's a flaw in your assertion. If the answer is truly "no" then why couldn't she simply answer in the negative? Where's the harm in that? What protocols are compromised? Declining to answer implies that there's something to hide.

Tell us you're laundering money without telling us you're laundering money.
2
@mr1001nights The Constitution leaves election law up to the individual states. Federal interference would be unconstitutional.
2
@annahayden Prove that anything in the bill violates any citizen's voting rights, bud. So far, nobody's done that. It's just hysterics for the big show.

@Dr.TJ1 If the jobs are theoretical then so is the "catastrophe." Are you trying to insinuate that transporting crude via road and rail is safer than via pipeline? How often has a pipeline derailed? How often has a pipeline collided with another pipeline? I eagerly await your authoritative citations as the price of fuel continues to rise. Apropos of nothing whatsoever, what powers YOUR car? You cannot possibly drive a Tesla or you would have mentioned that at least 3 times in your post.
1
@Dr.TJ1 A reasoned answer, but let's not forget that transportation IS part of the equation. Trucks are dirtier than trains. Trains are dirtier than ships. Ships are dirtier than pipelines. And neither my Honda nor your Toyota run on natural gas. Our need for refined fuels is not going to change overnight. It takes a couple of decades to replace a nation's entire fleet of vehicles. Killing that pipeline was not due to any environmental nor economic calculation. It was pure political theater that had consequences for workers and consumers.
1
@Dr.TJ1 I guess I was too busy installing my solar panels, rainwater collection system, low-energy appliances & lighting, retrofitting my stick-built house for passive cooling, and otherwise reducing my environmental footprint while researching and writing about energy and transportation issues to notice. Whoopsie!

@DennisTheInternationalMenace What does that even mean? Conway was never the WH Press Secretary.

@opmules2574 You didn't specifically reference the deaths in your OP so I assumed you meant everything else. I also assumed you were fully aware of Dr. Birx' statement that deaths WITH the 'rona were being classified as deaths FROM the 'rona. Like the guy who died from a motorcycle accident and another who died from gunshot wounds that are STILL listed as 'rona deaths. My aunt is also among those stats even though she was 94 and suffered numerous comorbidities. If you're going to hold a game show host responsible for not being a degreed virologist then you must also hold Cuomo and other governors responsible for sending infected people into nursing homes and knowingly killing tens of thousands of their own elderly citizens in spite of warnings from actual doctors and the presence of hospital ships provided by the former President who's living rent-free in your head. Somehow, you seem okay with political hacks making unprecedented power grabs using the excuse of a disease with a 99.95% survival rate. Keep living in fear and surrendering your rights. The rest of us have work to do, bills to pay, families to raise, and lives to live.

@mr1001nights What, specifically, makes it harder for them to vote? Texas has a 13-day early voting period in addition to Election Day. That's TWO WHOLE WEEKS in which every citizen can cast their vote. According to the Texas State Comptroller, 83% of Texans already possess state-issued photo ID. The fee for one is $6 to $16, or less than the cost of a pizza once every 6 years. If "it's clear what's happening" then please clearly explain exactly what parts of the bill make it harder for anyone to vote and how they accomplish that.
1
@annahayden All of your churlish name-calling has won me to your side. I am now convinced. You are the greatest debater since Frederick Douglass. You won. Congratulations.
1
Where are those $2,000 checks you promised to pay Georgians for their votes? Come on, man!
1
After decades of mismanaging forests and water resources, and allowing homes to be rebuilt in places that have repeatedly burned down to the topsoil for thousands of years, it's suddenly all the fault of climate change. You Californians keep voting for these corrupt idiots and then have the gall to act surprised when it blows up in your faces. Grow up, take responsibility, stay in your state, and change it for the better. Do NOT come to our sane states and vote for the same lunacy you just fled!
1
@Oldcrow77 Sources, please? And while you're looking those up, can you also tell us how much Biden cost us while playing hooky at his beach house?
1
They want credit for solving the problems THEY caused. No.

The national debt is the real source of concern. We're now spending a TRILLION dollars on INTEREST every year. That is money that is NOT available for filling one pothole, fixing a single bridge, upgrading a rail line, repairing a dam, or otherwise improving our infrastructure. Elections have consequences.
