  1. While Musk inarguably overpromises and underdelivers, unlike Theranos his company makes ACTUAL cars that YOU (emphasis on YOU - they are decades away from KITT) can drive. There are dozens of them humming around my neighborhood. I'm not interested in getting one - I like my Ford pickup truck's cargo capacity and its 400-500 mile range. On the other hand, I took the money I saved by NOT buying an EV and added a Tesla Powerwall to my home's solar power system (Sunpower panels, not Tesla) and its performance has exceeded my expectations. The software is simple to use, it'll never run over a pedestrian, and last month's electric bill (for a 2,400 square foot home + office in scorching hot Texas) was $8.10. I'm pleased enough that I've ordered another one.
