  1. Don't sweat it. They won't actually build any "15-minute" cities (which would actually be more disaster-resistant). They'll just keep building more tolled expressways lined with surface parking lots, warehouse-style big box stores, and sprawling cookie-cutter suburbs incompatible with efficient public transit because that's what sells for the highest profit margin with the least investment. While they encourage all of that to happen, they'll keep pretending that they give a big steaming crap about "the environment" and "environmental justice" and all those other meaningless buzzwords they use to trick their gullible citizens into voting against their own interests. How do I know? I have EYES and can see that is exactly what they've been doing for more than 60 years.
