The bird was in too much of a stupor at the time he rescued it to be scared. It had probably exhausted itself trying to escape. The bird seemed "out of it". But after rest it recovered just fine.

This woman was only a PART-time nanny. She didn't live with them and only worked 20-25 hours a week. Mrs. Krim was a stay-at-home Mom and only had the nanny as an extra set of hands, helping her mainly in the afternoons. The nanny rarely had to watch the 3 kids at once - as the girls were in school, preschool or ballet, soccer, swimming, art, etc. lessons. On the day of the murder, the nanny only had to come at 3 p.m., so she was only with 2 of the kids for a 1.5 hours before she killed them - and the toddler was napping most of the time.

Where did you get the idea they deprived that nanny of her son? Her son was being raised by his grandparents back in the Dominican Republic LONG before she took the job with the Krim's 2 years before the slayings. The nanny, Yoselyn Ortega, CHOSE to live in the U.S. rather than raise her son. She could have stayed with her parents or got a job there and raised her son. She was working as a cleaning lady before she got the job as a nanny and her son wasn't with her. She also worked in an office or accounting job before that, and her son was still being raised by the grandparents. It was only several months before the slaying, that the nanny, probably inspired by all the Krim's did for their children, decided to bring him to the U.S. and enroll him in private school. She also leased an apartment around this time from an owner who was moving overseas, she spent a large amount of money redecorating it, but then the owner changed his mind, came back and kicked her out. Her loss of the apartment meant she had to move back in with her sister's small apartment and have her teen-aged son there too. She decided to take her frustration out on Marina Krim, whose life and finances were much, much better than her own.

Actually Yoselyn Ortega's family/relatives provided false references. One relative, who had no children of her own, posed as a reference and claimed Yoselyn Ortega had been her nanny and was really great. Also, Yoselyn's sister Celia, who met a visibly pregnant Marina Krim at Lulu's ballet class, asked her if she needed help and recommended her sister, saying she was great with children and had nanny experience. Yet the fact was that Yoselyn Ortega had NEVER worked as a nanny before she got the job with the Krims. So Yoselyn Ortega's family tricked the Krims that Yoselyn had been a nanny and had been a good one at that, when she had not ever been a nanny at that point.

They had two more sons - boys - Felix and Linus, while also retaining their surviving daughter, Nessie. Nessie survived because she was with her mother and at swimming lessons while the nanny took advantage of the mother not being home to kill the other 2 kids.

Actually the mother screamed for hours and hours after she found her kids dead. People in the apartment said it was a primal scream, and terribly distressing. The father actually collapsed at the airport after he got off the plane and was met with police officers who told him 2 of his kids were dead. The policemen had to pick him up off the ground. He collapsed again when he received a call from his wife but only heard screaming in the background.

The restaurateur shouldn't have been feeding this moocher for 2 months without knowing who he was and his background (notice there's not mention of the attacker's name). The man could have a track record of mugging, burglary and even be a murderer. Judging from the man's behavior he does have a violent background, and likely has committed violent crimes before, so by feeding them it is encouraging them to hang around which puts customers in danger. I do think if there's better images of this man's face, that it should be passed around to area businesses so they can take precautions against him.

They had 3 at the time of the murders, two were killed (a girl and a boy, with one girl surviving because she was with her mother at swim class), but since then they have had 2 more boys. So they had 2 girls and 1 boy at the time of the murder, but now they have 1 girl and two boys.

She's a sinister narcissist with a personality disorder. People who saw her in the apartment complex said she never smiled nor said 'hi' like the other nannies. She mainly had a "poker face" or "looked down at the floor". Also her family and relatives lied to get her this easy job (she'd been working as a cleaner before, despite having an accounting degree). They lied saying she had nanny experience and one relative, with no kids of her own, provided a false reference.

One of the videos 0:14 is old and shows when that girl was still alive. The current video 0:05 shows the surviving girl - Nessie - who was their middle child at the time of the murders and was at a swim lesson with her mother so she survived. The two little boys in the background towards the right at 0:05 were born AFTER the killings. The killing happened in late October 2012. But the Krims went on to replenish their family, having a new boy in October 2013 and another in 2016. So, before the murders they had 2 daughter and a son, but now they have 1 daughter (the surviving child) and two sons.
