The Croats started off as allied to the Bosnian Muslims. But then 6 months into the war they turned against each other and the Croat-Muslim war started. According to Croats tensions started over weapons distribution (they felt the Muslims were keeping the lion's share of them), but also some Mujahideens (Islamic mercenaries) started killing Croats, plus it looked to Croats that Muslims' endgame was a BiH under Islamic domination. The Croat-Muslim conflict had some of the most intense fighting of the war and left MOSTAR the most destroyed city in BiH. Meanwhile the Croat population in Central Bosnia was cleansed - Croats claim over 150,000 Croats were cleansed from central BiH. The U.S. didn't like them fighting each other - wanted them to reunite to attack Serbs again - so they were forced together with a deal called the Washington Accords at the end of February 1994. They fought together to the end of the war but there remained tensions and Mostar became a divided city - with Croats on one side of the river and Bosniaks on the other. In other areas they send their kids to different sides of the school or in different shifts.

Key NATO government actually supported the violent separatists because it was a long-time desire to break up Yugoslavia into smaller states/statelets to be easier to be dictated to by the west/EU and to absorb into the EU/NATO. Yugoslavia was also a strong competitor in the construction and defense industry for 3rd countries, and destroying it was a boost to Germany's and other countries' defense sectors. Also U.S./NATO wanted to expand their control and bases - seems that U.S. can never have enough foreign bases. They are building more in Romania and Bulgaria too - they are looking to expand strength around the Black Sea area and have the surrounding of Russia ever as their goal.

There was a war within a war between the Bosnian Muslim and Bosnian Croats (though Croatia had 10s of thousands of soldiers in BiH during the entire war). There was an ambush of Croats by Muslims as early as June 13, 1992 (only 2 months into the war) but the first fighting with heavy weapons started in October 1992. The war was at its peak around the summer of 1993 but didn't stop until Feb. 1994. @HypnotizedHQ The Christian churches and monasteries were in Bosnia and Kosovo BEFORE the Muslims arrived. The Ottoman Turks destroyed many churches and monasteries and built mosques with the bricks and stones of the churches. There are also mosques which were known to be Christian before the Ottoman Turks converted them to mosques.

@HypnotizedHQ Wrong - the Bosniaks and Croats started fighting in places where there were no Serbs - where the Serbs were already ethnically cleansed and killed. One of the reasons, according to Croats, was that the Bosniaks were hoarding all the weapons and not distributing them fairly to the Serbs. Plus Croats worried about Bosniaks wanting an Islamic-dominated country as the end-game - actually Bosnia's president Alija Izetbegovic stated that in his book that he wanted a BiH under Islamic rule and didn't believe Islam could co-exist in a state with other religions. Some of the fiercest fighting was in the areas where Muslims and Croats controlled Bosnia's weapons factories - around the Lasva Valley. The Bosniaks wanted to get the explosives factory in Vitez. The Croats controlled the largest explosives plant in the Balkans in Vitez. And it was the Albanians - KLA - which started the war in Kosovo. They wanted their own ethnically pure statelet too. They started kidnapping and killing Serbs and even Albanians who didn't support them. They were given covert aid by Pentagon contractors MPRI - which had helped Croatia ethnically cleanse its Serb population. Also many Kosovo Albanians had fought in Croatia's and Bosnia's war - and during this time Kosovo was relatively peaceful - because they were busy in those wars. Croatian officials have even asked Kosovo Albanians to help identify about 1,500 dead fighters in Croatia which they believe are Albanians, as they've been ruled out being Croats and Bosniaks, and said there were many thousands of Albanians fighting in that war.

@spiceguy2408 And Croats looted and destroyed Serbian churches and monasteries and they and the Muslims also damaged each other's religious places when they turned against each other. But some churches and mosques were COLLATERAL damage in that they were BETWEEN the fighting forces and got damaged. Plus some were used by the armies and they also were used to store explosives and weapons. Muslims were sniping from minarets too.

@matchaa121 She probably means that they didn't do a documentary on what the Muslim forces did to the Croats. There were 150,000 Croats ethnically cleansed from central Bosnia. The Croat civilians in central BiH were raped and killed and they were often deliberately mutilated by the Bosniaks. Croats were also kept in grain silos by the Bosnian Muslim forces and were tortured and raped by them and the Mujahideen (Islamic mercenaries).

Herzegovina was separate from Bosnia though and with its own history. Bosnia and Herzegovina didn't exist as one country that long ago.

Kenan Bajrić They were murdering Serb civilians from the start. Even the Germans wrote how they weren't good fighters but killed a lot of civilians. Serbs were a greater percent of BiH population until WWII. Austrian census records have Serbs as 42% in the 1880's while Muslims were only around 34%. Those percentages were almost reversed by 1991.

@spiceguy2408 Yet Serbia is the most multi-ethnic of all of the former Yugoslavia and Croats DO live in Serbia as do Albanians and Bosniaks and Hungarians, Ruthenians, Romanians, etc. There was never any violence where Serbs had/have full control. The killings and wars always started where NON-Serb separatist forces were active. Serbs or the Yugoslav army were the FIRST attacked to kick start these wars and unraveling of Yugoslavia, which key NATO powers were behind from the start - even sending military equipment to the Slovene separatists behind the Yugoslav government's back. Plus there were major U.S. PR companies working for the Croats and Muslims. They suppressed what the Bosniak forces (which were the largest in BiH) and Croats were doing. This explains why some on these comments are shocked to hear about a Croat soldier raping a Muslim woman. They are ignorant of the Croat-Muslim war which had some of the most intense fighting of the Bosnian war and left Mostar the most destroyed city in BiH and parts of central BiH depopulated of Croats.

@hoangkybactien7207 NATO countries, CIA, BND, etc. were monitoring then supporting the violent separatists for their recipe to break up Yugoslavia into little ethnically pure and divided statelets. They backed Alija Izetbegovic who was actually a pro-Nazi youth during WWII and was jailed several times for ethnic violence and also seeking help from Islamic countries and even terrorist groups back in the early 1980's. He was jailed for 13 years in 1983, but let out after 5 or 6, with other men of his group. They formed the party that took BiH to war. Meanwhile Croatia had Franjo Tudjman who had been involved in the violent "Croatian Spring" of the early 1970's and wrote a book where he said genocide was a good thing. He was also inviting old Ustasha (Nazi Croat) death camp commanders living in South America to come back to Croatia. U.S., German, Britain, in the main, plus others were financing and shipping weapons to the non-Serb separatists before and then during the war in violation of the UN weapons embargo. It was only upheld against Yugoslavia/Serbia while the non-Serb separatists were aided. Plus thousands of western mercenaries (many with military background who "retired" or took leave to join the fighting then "rejoined the British, U.S., etc. armies again after meddling in the Balkans) fought on the Croat, Muslim and Albanian side. It was a set up war to break up Yugoslavia into little ethnically pure or divided statelets and to push out the Yugoslav army and reduce the ethnic Serb population which wanted to maintain connections with Serbs. The ethnic Serbs were deemed a problem to breaking off the statelets securely.

@HypnotizedHQ No, of course not. But mainstream media was totally suppressing what was being done to the non-Muslim women. The Bosniaks and Croats were their CLIENTS and had major PR companies working for them. The head of one PR company said he didn't care if what they claimed/printed was truthful - only that they could sway public opinion in favor of their clients. The war was very complicated. There were even some moderate Muslims in the Northwest of BiH (Velika Kladusa) who were allies of Serbs and their leader, Fikret Abdic, actually won the pre-war vote to be President of BiH but he was maneuvered in some kind of deal to step aside and Islamic ZEALOT Alija Izetbegovic (who was even jailed a few times - years before the war) was installed and the west advertise him and his government as moderates when, in fact, he stated and wrote he desired a Bosnia under Islamic Declaration and said Muslims could not co-exist in a state with non-Muslims. He also said they he would "sacrifice peace for independence". These wars were about key NATO countries sponsoring non-Serb separatists (while present a false-front that they were neutral or didn't want to break up Yugoslavia) to break Yugoslavia into little ethnically pure or divided statelets to be easier to absorb into the EU and NATO and to be dictated to. To do that necessitated removing the JNA (Yugoslav army) from the Republics/territories and also removing or greatly weakening the Serb population which didn't want to be separated and live under Croats and Muslims who have a history of genociding them (in WWI and WWII) and even before that there were major problems and suppression by Catholics & Muslims toward Orthodox Serbs.

Actually there was HEAVY WEAPONS flowing to the Bosnian Muslims - even UN documents wrote it was "enormous" - the weapons embargo WASN'T ENFORCED against the Croats and Muslims. There was financing by both the west and Islamic states and the Bosnian Muslim army (which was the largest by a factor of 4 or 5) became much better equipped as the war went on. Plus the Bosnian Muslims controlled most of Bosnia's arms factories while the Croats controlled the explosives plant in Vitez - the largest explosives factory in the Balkans.

@GAR9BALDI Many of those "Serb snipers" were actually the Bosnian Muslims. UN officers have testified, and its in UN reports, that the Bosnian Muslim/"Presidency"/"Government" forces were sniping at civilians AND the UN within Sarajevo. The Muslims had MORE snipers and larger forces than the Serbs. Investigators also fingered them for many of the headlined attacks such as the Markale massacre. UN Canadian soldier, James R. Davis, was there when they mortared their own. British politician Lord Owen had to put up with staged attacks by the Bosniaks when he toured Sarajevo and changed his mind 180 degrees from blaming the Serbs to blaming the Alija Izetbegovic for not wanting peace.

@GAR9BALDI Bosnian was getting weapons financed by Osama bin Laden's "charity". Most weapons were coming from Slovenia, which was acting as a middleman. Slovenian researchers and journalists did 3 books on their countries involvement on army the Bosnian Muslims - even Russia was selling arms and equipment to Slovenia for the Bosnians Muslims. Croatia stopped one of these shipments in September 1992 when tensions between the Croats and Muslims were heating up but Croatia still mostly cooperated even though Bosnian Muslims were ethnically cleansing Croats in central BiH all of 1993.

@GAR9BALDI There are videos - even here on youtube - of Bosnia's president Alija Izetbegovic - greeting Mujahideen. There are even media photos of them in Sarajevo and other parts of BiH in June 1992, which was only 2 months into the war so they came early. You also ignore that the Bosnian Muslims controlled most of Bosnia's weapons plants, while the Croats controlled the largest explosives factory in the Balkans - in Vitez. The Muslims were already turning HEAVY weapons on the Croats in October 1992 and there was very intense fighting in southern and central BiH between the Croats and Muslims. If you dig you can find even western media admitting they both had tanks, mortars, grenade launchers, anti-tank missiles and more and were using them against EACH OTHER. There was also ships with weapons coming to Croatia's ports for both Croatia and BiH. The Croats were said to skim 10% of the weapons for themselves before sending them to the Bosnian Muslims. Another thing is that Croatia sent its army in and it was there throughout the entire war yet the "international community" kept silent - it was an "open secret". And official Croat army documents show they gave their soldiers permission to rape, and their commander had a Bosniak/Muslim name. Bosniaks and Croats also created a mass grave of SERBIAN CHILDREN in northern Bosnia just before the Bosnian war officially began. That was the town of SIJEKOVAC. So Bosnian Muslims and Croats were murdering Serb children to start the war. 18 out of the 58 mostly Serb civilians in the mass grave at Sijekovac are CHILDREN. Meanwhile the media whines for Muslim and Croat SOLDIERS killed during the war.

That is a very exaggerated figure for propaganda's sake. They have trouble even finding these two people. The mainstream media also exaggerated the numbers of dead. Investigators hired by the ICTY found that many of the same people were counted multiple times and that dead soldiers were also counted as civilians, so the total number was much less than the Bosniak government and media pushed for years. Most of the dead in that war were military/combatants. There were also foreign mercenaries - including thousands from the west and countries like Germany - who were involved in the raping and killing of local Bosnian women of all ethnic groups. Germany is not coming clean on their own dirty work in the Balkans.
