Vitez was Croat-Muslim fighting (Croat-Muslim war) and the British soldiers were stationed nearby. Croats claim the British had something to do with the fighting. "The Vitez massacre was the killing of eight Bosnian Croat children by the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH) on 10 June 1993, during the Croat–Bosniak War."

@LoremIpsum1970 Vitez was Croat-Bosniak war. The Serbs were ethnically cleansed by the Croats and Muslims from the beginning of the war. A British mercenary, John MacPhee, who was sent to join the Croats against Serbs, but ended up fighting the Bosnian Muslims in 1993, was most shocked by what her personally witnessed the Bosnian Muslims would do - they would deliberately mutilate the Croats civilians and even the animals. He never witnessed nor mentioned Serbs doing that - it was mostly regular fighting with the Serbs, though he himself admitted to shooting girls and women, both Serbs and Bosnian Muslim. Usually it was when someone was walking too close to where he was hiding and he didn't want to take chances show he'd shoot them only to find that it was an unarmed young woman (who turned out to be the daughter of a Bosnian general) or unarmed elderly woman (Serb) trudging in the snow.

@LoremIpsum1970 Wasn't "Warriors" about the Croat-Muslim fighting mainly? Seems you are ignorant that the Bosnian Muslims and Croats had a war with each other in places where they had already ethnically cleansed the Serbs. It took US pressured and the brokered "Washington Accords" to force Muslims and Croats together again, as the US wanted them to fight Serbs, not each other.

@BritishLandeur Vitez was CROAT-MUSLIM war. The war crimes were either Croats killing Bosnian Muslims (most probably) or Bosnian Muslims killing Croats (which British ignored in BiH since they were biased towards Muslims there).

News quotes from 1993: A terse report by relief workers trapped by the fighting said British officers had confirmed a spreading pattern of atrocities, particularly in Vitez, 50 miles northwest of Sarajevo. British officers said on Monday that they had been told that men in ski masks, apparently Croatian fighters, had gone from house to house in Vitez executing Muslims. The officials also reported that they met about 700 Croats fleeing Bosnian troops north of Zenica and about 75 Muslims "huddled on the streets in Vitez, begging for United Nations military protection." It said these people found themselves "unable to move due to justified fear of sniper attack."
