@PrincessCashmonie They are the ones who parented him through life. So they are his parents even if they weren't his biological parents.

@chocolatezen I think his parents fell for each other when they were in relationships with others. She had the baby of another man, but gave it up for adoption because they didn't want it. Then she found herself pregnant but they were probably (at least the man) were/was still involved in another relationship and they weren't married, and she was likely embarrassed to be pregnant again so soon after giving up a child for adoption (which family members, friends, and coworkers knew about). She might have hid her pregnancy or just told everyone she gave up the baby for adoption when instead she/they put it in a dumpster. Perhaps she though she might lose her job if her boss thought she was an unwed mother - or perhaps she and the man were fighting at the time. But then they renewed their relationship or decided to get married and they wanted the next children. She could have also thought that the baby she threw in the dumpster could have been from her previous relationship. Perhaps she was seeing 2 men at the same time, even after she gave up the daughter for adoption. So they threw away the baby not knowing for sure who the father was at the time.

He wasn't told about what happened to him (only that he was adopted) until he was about 34 which would have been in 2017 or 2018, so not that long ago, and in recent years he's done DNA tests and has found some members of his family and information about them.
