I think they should build aerodynamic warehouses and/or roofs for these large warehouses in areas with frequent bad tornadoes so that the high winds stream more over and around them and they structure doesn't bear the full force of the winds and pressure. They may be giving up maximizing indoor space or have extra expense on the outside of the buildings, but it will save lives, the structure and merchandise in the future. Either that or make an enforced tornado safety space in the building, which also has an underground section - maybe even a tunnel to get out to somewhere else if the building collapses and debris is all over the parking lot.
