  1. Yes, the dog's tactic to wait them out worked. The dog knew not to fall for the food/roast beef lure and persevered for hours despite being overheated, hungry and thirsty.

  2.  @baekyum  The cats weren't killed. The guy says the dog "wanted to kill" the cats on his property, but obviously the guy was able to stop the dog from doing it, and it did concern the guy because he called animal control. But then he changed his mind because he learned the dog would probably be killed. I'll bet the dog learned quick not to attack the cats and they guy probably kept the dog under close watch/guard until it was better with the cats. & most likely it is the same (or some of the same cats) that the dog is sleeping with these days.

  3. He didn't fall for that tactic to lure him out of the car because he knew it was more important to convince the people to keep him than for him to enjoy the roast beef but then see the people leave him, most probably forever.
