No matter where in the world you are there are media groups and talent agencies that are filled with predators. Underage talent should never be left alone without a parental guardian when working in the entertainment industry

@xuimod " People can always move or find additional work to find affordable housing" what magical world do you live in? The entire reason people had to relocate to the cities is because of work. Towns and rural areas have been drained of their populations (in all "1st world" countries) due to outsourcing labor to the 3rd world and moving remaining labor to the cities

@meganh7526 that's true it's not perfect but better then leaving them with producers/directors, etc but yeah it would be better if there was an agency for protecting child entertainers but I'm sure it too would be infiltrated by predators :(

@riaon of that's why he can't eat them but they encourage him to get healthy so he can have snacks again

@ligametis read my above comment, they are moving to the cities for work, it's not like most people love the inflated living standards that come with city life
7
Modernity and child abuse seem to be the most common factors for checking out, so to speak

American imperialism which included sanctions and their media is how the US dominates other nations. US cuts nations off from the ability to trade if they don't comply with them, if that doesn't work they try to create internal coups by creating rebel factions
3
they exist in North America too

hyper competitiveness is a huge problem in global capitalism, everyone is competeting for an ever fleeting number of job positions to get out of poverty and it's making people sick while a small groups of elites get richer, it's disgusting and I hope this system crumbles in my lifetime
2
exactly, Japan is still a great country because they are a great race that continue to preserve their ethnostate and culture; I do not want them to be "diverse" like us, that is a death sentence. I wish they were the victors in WWII and not the evil American empire
2
The fact that they're allowing the Olympics this year proves one of the two: 1) the elite are lying about the severity of the virus for ulterior motives 2) the elite want to create a greater pandemic

I live around Toronto (not even the downtown core, around the suburbs) and you can't rent anything for under $1000 a month and apartments start at $600,000, houses over a million. I can't understand why so many Korean's move here for a "better life" when it's less obtainable here
1
the parents are this way because the system of global capitalism encourages hyper competitiveness amongst the general public over the scraps of the ultra rich; everyone is fighting for a few school and work positions that are already deminishing due to outsourcing, immigration and AI so it's going to get worse. These parents don't want their kids living a life of poverty so they go to extremes to push them up the ladder

@no_one2197 poverty is one of the major factors the K-pop industry feeds off us, it's how they get young people to sign contracts that keep them as indebted servants that work long hours (some only allowed 3 hours of sleep), kept under fed to keep them skinny, forced into plastic surgery, having to perform despite injuries, etc They do it in the hopes of being the small percent that can rise out of poverty
1
in liberal countries you get scrutinized or even imprisioned if you are a whte victim and your abuser is dark skinned
1
no it is nationalistic and there is nothing wrong with that
1
American regime went around the world for over 70 years parading how they "saved" people with 'liberal democracy" from "evil" ideologies while this is the reality for millions of the people they "saved" In America, data shows 52% of adults have to live with their parents due to being price out of the housing market and the birth rate is plummeting because of this, the post WWII global capitalist usury based system is not sustainable
1
i's not their society, it's the American post war society that has been enforced on most of the world that is dying and taking its colonized victims down with them
1
@khadijahbegum3546 they are men abusing underage boys and women are helping to cover it up
1
Forced Americanization destroyed Japan more then 2 atomic bombs. No wonder poor Afghanis and other Middle Easterners fought to the death to keep America out of their lands
1
@haydeng3541 to be fair this is nothing compared to what the over crowding the Olympics will bring to an already overcrowded city
1
I agree with them, I hate how consumerist Americanization has destroyed individual cultures around the world
1
hard candy isn't popular with kids anymore, it's more of an older people thing
