@kentaroo.7759 the concept of having kids for "legacy" is just ego and it doesn't often work out anyways since a lot of ppl have kids and those kids don't or can't reproduce. Just have kids if you want to be a parent, that is the only reason

nah it goes further back then that, look in the Federal reserve and indistrial revolution capitalism, who was behind it, that is where the problems started and why women even entered the work force to begin with

@ peasants worked less, believe it or not, then modern people do; in Medieval Europe for example, they had 115 holydays (no work) also no commuting, no schedules since "time" wasn't a thing (sun meant labor, no sun= no labor) Things got bad for the working class under the industrial revolution though, which is why so many socialist uprisings occured in the 20th century

this is why the "economy' is a total fake metric for a countries well being, people are spending more to survive which will increase the economy but their quality of life is dropping horribly while quality of life in "second world" countries is becoming more affordable and less stressfull

@tommytomhan we don't have material wealth, most millenials don't even own homes and they are all in their 30's and 40's. The things that are cheaper are just novelties but the essentials (housing, food, medical care, etc) are much more expensive btw most ppl can't even get a single job now a days never mind 2, the job market is brutal and there is tons of outsourcing and AI replacing ppl

@manovrsb before social media there wasn't the pressure to live a fast paced life just to impress people with how interesting you are; people used to go places just for enjoyment, not to impress strangers with their lifestyle achievments

not true, men are far more shallow on average and would chose looks over "good company" in a woman especially if it made them look high status around other men; meanwhile hot women will give a mid guy a chance if they think he will be nice to them
