  10. Many thanks for Toyota's extended recall on oiling. Couldn't believe 08 Rav was eating oil @ 40k with 3-4k LOF's. Procrastinating til last days of recall, finally took it in @ 100k +. Flunked consumption test and Toyota did this overhaul @ no cost to owner, provided nu Rav, too. Just passed 150k . Thanks

  11. Toyota doesen't see the costs related to diesel motors for US emissions as acceptable to consumers. VW has discontinued all US diesel options for same reasons.

  14.  @normt430  If you say so , It must be so. I still recco vehicles actually made in a Japanese factory over others, but am aware that may not be an option on many models now so also made in NA. As U correctly state the domestic Camry is leader in % use of domestic parts.

  15. Never good idea, forced downshift to 1st while moving to slow a vehicle. Use the brakes.
