  3. Lauren Bobert is always humiliating herself... What's new? E: I live in Colorado and visited Rifle last summer (yes, the city where her restaurant got evicted from is named Rifle). Just for giggles I wanted to walk by her campaign office which is right next to her restaurant... In the glass door of the restaurant had a sign that said "The Second Amendment is there to protect the First", the heartbreaking irony of such a saying is that this was just after she came out saying that the separation of church and state needed to be ended. These people idolize guns, say they want to protect the Constitution, but in reality want to enact fascist violence. The irony palpably hurts, as people (some literally kids!!!) die and guns are idolized by these sickos. They don't even care about the First Amendment that they say they love so much and they sure as hell don't care about fellow Americans dying. No exaggeration; It makes my stomach churn.

  24. The employer-employee relationship is an actually a very insidious dynamic. Employment is a rental contract. Like if you rented capital (say, a chainsaw from Home Depot), you pay rent for the "time preference" (basically the cost of time) for a piece of property. Capitalism is based on a principle of self ownership, which sounds empowering, until you realize that most people don't own capital goods other than themselves, and must rent out the authority over themselves as pieces of "human capital". This is a process of dehumanization where human beings are valued for their return on investment as capital goods. This is why, at least capitalism needs safety nets (or abolishment), or else the system won't value sick, elderly, and disabled people, as they can't provide competitive economic return for the investor class.
