Prisoners in the USA still have rights, like the right to no cruel and unusual punishment for one, ironically that doesn't include slavery as denoted by the 13th Amendment, but these are just facts, not my opinions. What makes America great is the fact that we guarantee inalienable rights. I'm a literal socialist and I understand this point.
