Over the past century and a half Unions have helped fight for the 8-hour workday (40hr week), better pay, better work conditions, and it was even the socialist mayor of Milwaukee that first started workers compensation. They fought for these labor rights and face of capitalist violence like the Ludlow massacre and the Homestead massacre, just to name two of many. Capitalism is violent.
