Lol, two men in a half naked dance over a hammer

@Hugsnkisses You're crying over a corrupt businessman? I'd cry if he wasn't a bad person. For instance, I didn't cry when David Koch died and when Dick Cheney kicks the bucket I'mma have a party.
6
@mankz789 He doesn't know.
5
@on2thenextthing So you don't have any sources, because I did research and it looks like you're wrong. Why don't you cite a source and I'll judge the credibility for my own?
4
@heru-deshet359 Your response to the fact that it puts a bunch of innocent people at risk is the fact that you'll pay $2 more at the pump? Jfc, You people will go on about personal responsibility but are happy to expose innocent people to risks that you aren't willing to fully insure.... You honestly are an irresponsible pos. Go invest in some other dying technology like the horse and buggy, chump.

@michaelkrick3818 Oh god, you're joking, right? I hope you realize George Orwell was a democratic socialist AND hated authoritarianism/ Stalinism..... Martin Luther King was also a demsoc, so I'd bet that you probably think MLK advocated for state backed slavery because "sOciAliSm"- honestly ridiculous. Ive listen to those Oxford debates before and so understand the jist of them, but you failed to even click on the Preston Model link.... Which is nothing like Stalinism. It's honestly pretty pathetic that you cant even use basic critical thinking to see the difference- it's just brainwashed McCarthyist laziness.
3
@TheGeneral can I get fast and inexpensive car insurance from you?
2
You probably want to invest in dying technology like horses and buggies, because God forbid the cost of horse and buggies goes through the roof..... Oh wait, we progressed beyond that point.

@michaelkrick3818 My job security is fine, I work in the legal cannabis industry that is only set to grow as legalization goes national. No thanks to decades of those "small government Republicans" who are always saying that big government should stay out of their lives unless it's about marijuana or whatever they decide to have a problem with. Nice hypothetical, buddy. And don't get me wrong I totally understand it's hard to change a skill set that once developed over 30 years, it's pretty terrible for those people- but life keeps moving on, innovation happens and new skills are required.
2
@michaelkrick3818 Let me remind you that it's socialists and unionists that fought for the 8-hour workday, instead of the 10 to 12-hour day that was normal during 19th century Capitalism. They also fought for other labor rights like higher pay, better work conditions, and workers comp- it was the socialist mayor's of Milwaukee that help to pave the way compensation and for more leisure time, by building city parks. You lived in a part of history where capitalism had been buttressed by socialist-minded labor rights and a post wartime boom. I have a 90-year-old grandfather who fought in the Korean war and I think about this often, how he perceives the world due to his reference in history. For me, the Golden Age of Capitalism is dead, inequality is large and it seeds corruption within our political system- like providing large handouts to oil companies who lied to consumers for years that their product would kill their environment. Exxon new in the 1970's that GHG were bad- this is the exact profit over people mindset that makes Capitalism so dangerous, and exactly why socialists and unionists had to fight so hard for such basic labor rights. We have an oligarchy of investors. All these politicians that take capitalist campaign donations flip flop all the time, but it's the democratic socialist Bernie Sanders who is stayed true to his word for over 30 years... That's because Bernie flips the script and puts people over profit.

You okay....?
1
Imagine being so ignorant that you don't realize there are more jobs in renewable energy than oil and coal.... But of course you're too stupid to look at facts.
1
Better than Trump beckoning a riot at the capitol, and a fumbled pandemic..... Gone by Apirl, surrrre.
1
Maybe oil companies should have invested in greener technology instead of being so depending on large negative externalities to make profits.
1
Energy storage technology is quickly changing... Electric cars are already cheaper per mile than ICE. In 10 years we're going to have an exponential growth curve.... But of course what do you Luddites know about technology innovation.
1
@track1219 Luddite term is used for anybody who dislikes technology and is fearful of that it might take away jobs.... Just admit it, you don't like innovation.
1
@track1219 You're setting up infrastructure projects that will be used for decades to come..... EV will outpace ICE within just a decade or two. EVs already cost 25 cents per mile compared to $0.70 per mile for an ICE.
1
@track1219 Wow, I hope you realize ICEs have lots of moving parts that wear and need more maintance than an electric motor.... Jfc, if you don't understand the basics about the two technologies how do you expect to compare them??
1
@track1219 Yet, it IS currently cheaper per mile. Lol.
1
@lpappas474 "PER MILE". Smh. If you understood algebra, you'd understand how that factors into the y = mx + b of total cost of ownership. My whole point was that will be cheaper within 10years and so you shouldn't make large infrastructure investment that will take decades to recoup.
1
And renewable is getting cheaper
1
You realize it's cheaper to run a electric car.... And that renewable energies have more jobs available than oil and coal. Oh wait you probably didn't realize that because you're such a knuckledragger. Catch up to the times, you might as well go advocate for jobs in the horse horse and buggy industry.
1
Oh look another person too stupid to realize that they're more jobs and renewable energy than there are in fossil fuels. You're literally too stupid to look at two numbers and tell which one is bigger.... Moronic.
1
I didn't realize you could drive any car from North America to Europe....
1
@lpappas474 I am well aware that unions can at time protect incompetence... I've had that PE/ Study hall teacher, we called him Mr. Coughballs. But you know what, I value the teachers that inspired me and believe they deserve the increased protection and salaries. Life isn't black and white, buddy.
1
@lpappas474 Are you unaware of how collective bargaining increases negotiating power which is usually divided and conquered down to the lowest morsel? You probably think people should work 12 hours a day 6 days a week... Damn those unionists and socialists that fought for your 8hr workday, higher pay, and more humane work conditions. P.S. I don't like big government. You're the type of person that would call George Orwell and MLK, who were a democratic socialists, "authoritarians".
1
@lpappas474 Content? Lmao, nah, I'm rage filled that we all can't be better. You keep making baseless accusations. Seriously, it's clear you don't know me, and your presumptuous are making you look bad- I'm happy to hear your experiences with unions, but when you start talking about things you're clearly naive about, you really should just stop ;)
1
@lpappas474 Like I said, I'm happy to hear about your experiences if you'd like to share... Even though you keep devolving into childish ad hominems. But it's okay, I've been less than compassionate in the past, so I understand.

Kinky hammer BDSM gone wrong.
1
@ian9toes remember the United States Homestead Act that gave away free land that they had just stolen from native Americans.......
1
@GANTZ100pts Do you understand what a negative externality is? Just because the pipeline is not on their property doest mean the it won't affect the area. Now, on to the legitimacy of this trade, seems rail companies took away their main source of food in their nomadic lifestyle. Putting them in a position where the government takes part of their land for the railroad capitalists and the government would help them after railroad capitalists destroyed their way of life. Let's not forget 99% of US government treaties were broken by the US government. "In the late 19th century, railroads wanted to build tracks through Indian lands. The railroad companies hired hunters to exterminate the bison herds, the Plains Indians' primary food supply. The Dakota and Lakota were forced to accept US-defined reservations in exchange for the rest of their lands and farming and ranching of domestic cattle, as opposed to a nomadic, hunting economy. During the first years of the Reservation Era, the Sioux people depended upon annual federal payments guaranteed by treaty for survival." - Wiki for the Sioux
