In a study run in Denver, they found that people who received $6,500 up front and $500 a month increase the ability to get housed over the $1,000 per month option, still 12k but it shows how money can be utilized more efficiently to start programs off. It makes sense when they have security deposits and other upfront costs to get an apartment.
