The purchase creates satirical action that will functionally create a platform for an entirely different demographic of advertisers. This is exactly what we want The Onion to do! But maybe you're just another right winger that is oblivious to the concept of irony.

I'm sorry you don't understand how the economy works, but in order to keep the organization functional, they have to have profits that cover their expenses, as well as capital reinvestment. I love cooperatives and non-profit businesses, but please understand a basic cost vs income sheet.
