I'm a socialist with a stock account because I recognize that labor doesn't get ahead in capitalism- capital wins in capitalism. Real wages are nearly the same as they were in the 1970s but corporate profits are up exponentially! The problem is that you're more aware of the fact that owning a NASDAQ QQQ share has 11% Apple who uses foxconn labor and even Uyghur slave labor. So unfortunately you're more aware of the blood on the dollar bills you withdraw.... But is it going to change just because I, a relatively poor person, doesn't buy shares? Doubtful.

@shreddez I'm sorry it's misery... The disability that I have is depression/PTSD, I feel the pain of misery with you. Maybe David's personal finance show can help you. I know it's hard to get out of financial problems, but thinking about personal finance can help. Just a thought. Best of luck to you too!

Basically Beanie Baby's- all speculation. It's basically just buying a hyperlink... That anybody else can go to. There are value-added proof of concepts of using NFTs for concert perks and proof of the transfer of documents/rights, but it's very limited and really doesn't have the legal support needed to make it useful.

@shreddez Eh, to a point. I won't say I'm poor, but I've there was definitely some financial insecurity in my younger years which instilled a need to save for the future. Investing has helped me feel less pressure from the threat of poverty- I'm currently able to take some time off for a disability. Marx and Engles funded their philosophical free time with investments. I guess my point is that there's a rational limit to marginal happiness money gives people and above that investment should go to undermining capitalist labor exploitation and ecological destruction. But who knows maybe I'll cynically be corrupted by capitalism and use the money to buy luxuries that satisfy my short-term dopamine rush.... I mean, I am just a dumb ape. We'll see how virtuous I can actually be, lol.
