  2. 20k miles/ 2 years interval is very common in Europe if the car is mostly driven in highways. Especially for Diesel cars with 7L oil sumps. Dexos 1 gen 2 certification has much tighter tolerance and endurance test and all oil with Dexos1gen2 certification are indeed high quality. The main difference on 20k miles oil is usually the base oil contains more PAO or group IV instead of group III. They are more stable for longer intervals. However, I am still changing the oil 5-8k miles/6-8 months just because it will extend the life of the car beyond 300k miles. All this 20k miles interval gimmicks is just enough to cover car warranty period of 100k miles. Something that is not relevant at all for most Toyota, Honda, and many american truck owner.

  3. The most important thing is certifications. Any certified Dexos 1 gen 3 or DexosD oil overperform any standard ILSAC 6A and 6B oil. Thicker oil has better thicker film and works well on high rpm sports car but not on low tension rings economy cars, especielly Toyota and Honda. Their engines uses 0W-20 or less since 2010 and has much less failure rate than any other manufacturers.

  4. Great video. Would you compare many of ELM327 compatible or OBD2 bluetooth scanners too? Many are truly ELM327s that can do hybrid system check with Dr. Prius, Carista App, etc. But majority of bluetooth OBD2 scanners are fake and cannot really do such scanning. For instance, I can scan my hybrid with the Veapeak $15 scanner + Carista app that have Cxxxx codes that other apps cannot read or clear.

  7. Is it a good idea to apply anti-seize on installing stabilizer links and suspension parts? I am afraid it will come loose but also afraid if I cannot remove it later from corrosion. VEry common issues in stabilizer links.

  8. Shell regular gasoline and v-power nitro+ has the same amount of detergent. Only ocatane level difference. Regular is better than v-power for cars that do not need premium high octane since higher ocatane harder to be burned and cause dirtier engine.

  13. Spring tension type clamp is still the best and standard in car hoses because it retains more less contant tension depending on temperature. Great for oil and water hoses that cold and hot.
