  1. Plastic in coolant lines often break suddenly. I had sudden hole on plastic pipe right after the thermostat in Sienna V6 at 200k miles. Hard to predict but i believe plastic pipes and joint should be replaced every 100k miles or 10 y

  2. Plastic in coolant lines are alwayc catastrophic. Same thing in GTI, 3.3L v6 toyota, etc.
