  1. CV axle boot torn is always better to replace the boot only if it is still good. Original CV axle often is better than aftermarket rebuild from junkyard. There is a reason why OEM CV axle coat 5x than aftermarket.

  2.  @algrayson8965  new one from unknown brands and chinese new axle, yes. When axle goes bad, often the car is really aging and after market makes sense. I prefer just clean and change the boots if they are torn and replace it before it gets bad.

  3. Original axle is always better, replacing just boot is fine with some extra polyurea grease
