  1. Plastics in coolant lines is not good. Although it may take 200 000 miles but it was the cause for 2 Sienna 2004 I knew engine damage. The pipe right after the thermostat in 3.3L V6 just crack or have a hole and spew all coolant in minutes. I believe plastic water pump housing in VW in 2.0L TFSI also notorious for leaks every 50 000 miles and still leaking after 4th revision. VAlve cover is probably fine, just like my 240 000 miles Nissan Sentra 99.
