  1. Toyota have way more patents per year in electrification. It has all the RnD and capability to make EV whenever needed. Building EV is much simpler than making great reliable tested hybrid. I doubt more than 30% of car owners USA and Europe have garage to charge an EV or Plugin Hybrid. Hybrid is still way greener when Toyota makes millions of hybrid than just few EV because of their scale of production. The amount of battery is limited and putting 1kWh battery in 40 hybrid is Greener than 1EV and 39 ICE.
