  1. garry cole, I'd rather Green also but a "real progressive" is a major victory in such a traditional democrat controlled political machine in a major city. Until 15 yrs ago I taught school in bad area in SW Philly where there is still a great deal of racial tension & poverty, career path is school to jail, mostly selling drugs. This is a happy surprise win to me. I hope this DA fixes the inequity in the system.

  4. calvin smith, Most of the crimes are non violent, selling drugs because they have no skills. We are punishing the victims of poverty & poor education. I taught school in very bad area in SW Philly, the career path is school to jail. It is not the teachers' fault. The conditions are horrible -- who can teach 39 first graders with no assistant & no supplies? I quit after 3 years. I was going broke spending half my paycheck on supplies. These kids deserve better!

  10. love Abby Martin! This is great news in Philly, I'm originally from suburbs so big win for the entire area. I voted Jill Stein in DE, Biden's state. He just bought $5mm beach house in Rehoboth Beach in addition to his Wilmington estate - wait until more people start asking how did Uncle Joe get so rich?
