Try listening again & taking notes because you missed the point entirely. Do you have a master's degree? most teachers do. Do you work 60 hour weeks? most teacher's do. Do you work during your lunch hour? most teachers do. Do you get paid for overtime? teacher do not!!! Do you spend your vacations taking workshops or attending classes or working as a store clerk? most teachers to one or all of this. Do you have student debt? most teachers do.

Objective Viewer - My car comes with a manual so why do I need a mechanic? I can buy house plans online, should I build my own? or how a bridge? ship? Surgical procedures are in manuals so why do you need a doctor? or dentist? Hopefully you don't have children or if you do, do not attempt to home school them. We have more than enough ignorance in this world.

This is why the USA dropped from #1 in the world 50 years ago to #38 in testing now. When I was young, I taught school for 8 years, left to have a baby & worked p/t waitressing because I made more money in 3 nights with less stress than I did 60 hrs a week as an educator. When my son turned 5, I went into sales - I couldn't afford to teach school. Funding should not come from local RE taxes, needs instead to be funded out of DC because poor kids do not have a chance in hell to get a decent education.
