  4. gregory, first of all, this was almost 3 mos ago & secondly, out of context. Chomsky is right re opening the door to invasion by Turkey - betcha Trump & Erdogon made a back room deal. The bright side, troops will be coming home but air strikes will coninue. - this is a PR move by trump, why he is blackmailing the country with gov shut downs to get his wall. TRUMP DOESN'T WANT TO GET PRIMARIED.

  6. I think Chomsky is referring to the potential attacks by both Turkey & Russia if the US leaves. He has a point. Perhaps a backdoor deal was made between Turkey & Trump? Remember that only the ground troops are leaving, we'll still have air strikes & mercenaries.
