  2. Personally I don't understand why the anthem is being played anyway? This is entertainment with people paying money to watch a blood sport - please explain how the hell football became elevated as a patriotic event? It is a barbaric game, reminiscent of the gladiators. I think the coach made a good decision. I wish people paid as much attention to their elected officials as they do to football players.
