  4. This woman is very well spoken & bright. Is she a socialist or democratic socialist or social democrat? there is a difference! Regulated capitalism with socialized programs is good, similar to what FDR instituted & Bernie pitched & & neo-liberals destroyed. Now we need expansion of FDR with medicare for all, guaranteed minimum wage, low fee colleges, subsidized green energy, senor housing, rent control, etc. and simplified graduated income tax. Ironically, donna brazil just helped this woman get elected. I voted Jill Stein, too.

  5. When are we going to bring mandatory government classes back to schools? I am reading comments & questions that most 5th graders could have answered 30 years ago. This is not because people are not as intelligent but because the current education system is deficient, even for today's college graduates. How can one form opinions re who to vote for or what's essential to a fully functioning society? Or about how our government functions? What are appointed positions & which are elected? What are the duties of the 3 branches of government? What is the "cabinet? federal reserve?" It's like watching someone at a cash register trying to make change who has never touched a dollar bill before or wo a calculator. Please people sign up for adult education classes or read books. Sorry but this is the biggest problem with our system today & why such corruption exists. Too many people vote for personality vs substance. I think this is by design to keep people subservient, too easily fooled. by rhetoric of politicians. Very scary.

  7. malik but that is antiquated definition by today's political parties - socialized programs include services like public education, library, infrastructure, medical, post office, fire & police, monetary system all those services that make society function plus regulated capitalism so everyone from every background has a shot to succeed based on talent, intelligence, skills, ambition, work ethic vs a class system where only the rich get richer & birth status keeps the poor in poverty

  8. ASh, you are actually describing communism is it's purest form. US is too big for a centralized gov to work this way, representative republic is more realistic where 1 vote elects a representative for our interests.
