  1. George, Thank you for your service. I'm about your age, terrible times. I don't know your pain but I share a bit of your fear. My step brother & brother. 1 drafted 19 Viet Nam, forever damaged; the other joined 18 stateside, mature. college - test case - war maims body & spirit forever With the best of intentions, I think college kids like me protesting made it worse for vets... however, now I am appalled that young people are NOT protesting - no draft! We need to bring the draft back for both men & women - no exemptions! All families share the pain, loss, worry, fear - THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP WARS. What do you think? I drifted back in time, not quite the magical mystery tour of my youth but..I have a softer spot for LBJ than you do, he didn't run a second term because of Viet Nam & he died a year after he left office. Those close to him said he carried a heavy heart & it broke & he died. He never forgot his roots, domestically LBJ was the best president since FDR - Civil Rights, Medicare, low tuition state colleges, blue collar jobs, unions BUT Viet Nam

  2. Life imitates art, right out of Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels. Who's running the world? Poor Bernie is having a bad day, first sexual harrassment charges in his campaign & now this. Perhaps they are related - same spy? I fear for Bernie & Jeremy Corbin. I wonder about the asylum seekers from Central America - who is backing & organizing them? I'm sure most of whom have no idea, those poor people. God only knows the lies they were told. Expected a parade & got tear gassed. Max & Ben are both brilliant journalists - Good show, Jimmy & gang.
