  1. Hazzycakes no I don't agree, corporate donors have corrupted the process. Citizens united really turned elections into an expensive game. We should have a 2mos election cycle with public funding & free airtime for debates on PBS - getting MSM commercials out of the picture would purify the elections. Government should not be treated as entertainment.

  3. Jeff Clements is right, I voted in 1967, things were much different. Compared to now, Nixon looks like a choir boy. Shorter, publicly funding election cycles is really important, 2 mos maximum. We need better choices including 3rd parties included in debates & rank choice voting. There needs to be a cap on funding for any campaign, anything spent or raised over the limit should be grounds for fraud. I think we are all sick of being puppets. The main thing is for voters to be informed & vote for issues not the media personalities. People need to vote which I think should be mandatory! Make it a national holiday wi online voting from home or at voting stations with paper receipts, 1 to keep, 1 mailed in so elections could be contested.
