  1. I am old enough to remember watching a UK tv programme in the early 90s where a muslim lady said that the biggest threat to world peace looking forward was the rise of islamic fundamentalism. I had no idea what she was talking about. A few years later there were the terror attacks on the uss cove and then 9/11. Looking back now, how right she was. Hamas was one of many of those groups that formed in the 80s along with al queda. I have read of thousands forming since. IS being the biggest and most significant. Most are sunni too it would seem tho they all seem to despise israels presence in the muslim middle east. Thats why they wont negotiate any solution. They still seem to want to carry on the 1948/67/73 attempts to destroy israel. As for the footage of the massacre i watched plenty of it. From cctv to videos, some made by the targetted and some by the perpetrators themselves. Horrendous to watch. From random killing of motorists and civilians trying to run and flee. Some whilst trying to hide. Some videos showing them hunting for victims in the kibbutzes. Worst one was cctv watching a terrorist chasing 2 women. He was sprinting and caught up to the first one and he shot her as she struggled. The other lady was then on her knees below him pleading for her life while he was reloading. He then just shot her and walked off. Owen jones and the other marxists need to watch it.. I did actually see them shoot an armed israeli soldier once who was trying to respond in a base but they then showed another video in there of them shooting an unarmed conscript who was trying to hide under a table. There were civilian bodies everywhere.. There was a group of corpses by a bus stop and in cars. It even showed them pulling out the bodies from cars and driving off in them. Then there iwas all that music festival footage as well. It was ethnic cleansing no doubt in my mind and israel has every right to go after those who did this. Try to limit the civilian casualties as much as you can but do what you have to do. There is no other way.

  3.  @cmoore7518 Well this just came out as i just googled it "His remarks came a day after the Byline Times outlet published a number of detailed and serious allegations against Mr Wootton, claiming that it had evidence he had pretended to be a man named Martin Branning. Byline Times claimed two victims made criminal complaints to the Metropolitan Police, based on Branning’s activities since 2019. Both News UK – by whom Mr Wootton was formerly employed – and the MailOnline’s publisher have said they are looking into the allegations. Contacted by The Independent following the publication of the Byline Times report, Scotland Yard said: “In June 2023, the Metropolitan Police was contacted with regards to allegations of sexual offences committed by a man. “Officers are assessing information to establish whether any criminal offence has taken place. There is no police investigation at this time.”....... So there is no police investigation at this time in mid july after recieving the complaint in june....... The report goes on..... Mr Wootton’s name has been trending on Twitter frequently in recent days, with posts on social media that make accusations against him gaining millions of views. Shortly before Mr Wootton’s Tuesday night show, The Guardian also published a report which made similar allegations against Branning. The paper reported that it had not been able to independently establish a link between Branning and Mr Wootton. So the guardian has not been able to provide any hard evidence but still published the article anyway. Nice fact based journalism there guardian. Or was the chance of a political kicking too much of an opportunity to miss? I also just found out that byline times is a left wing journalist group funded by activist supporters who seem like they only report on or go after prominent people who have the opposite political views to themselves. No unbiased agenda there then

  32.  @HarunalRashide123 If the iron dome hadnt begun in 2009 then israels civilian casualties would have been just as high. Tho likely this war would have started some years earlier for it. The bottom line is that hamas could have stopped this never ending cycle of violence . Like maybe stopping the firing of the rockets indiscriminately into civilian areas which then brings the understandable miliary targetted response with all its colateral civilian damage. Or the continous suicide bombings that hamas organised from gaza causing all the checkpoints and security that has been put up since to prevent it happening again . Or the biggest close range mass murder of jews since the holocaust. Then maybe you take a look at their ideology as well. You know. No negotiation. Just destruction of israel and seemingly after oct 7th the ethnic cleansing of all jews in the region as well. Also dont forget what jihaddis like to tell us in the west. You may love life but we love death. So that means they dont give a toss about their own lives or the lives they are supposed to be representing in gaza They are all just other potential martyrs on their way to heaven in support of their holy jihad..People dont understand that hamas wants this war. They want all the other arab and muslim states and terror groups to join in with them and your just propagandising the anti israel narrative they want you to spread. Israel is not going to just disappear. They also have nuclear weapons. So there aint going to no region left over after, never mind a nation. As for the ceasefire hamas will not want one especially if it involves negotiation. They may agree to short pauses for humanitarian aid so they can reorganise and strengthen defences but a peaceful negotiated ceasefire i just dont see it. Sorry. .The only way i can see tthat might prevent the continual colateral from this bloodbath is for refugee camps to be set up in the sinai. The UN and egypt should already be organising this right now imho.

  52. Yep i definately gonna tune into that bunch of lying left wing marxists and known putin sympathisers. Also you forgot to mention the reason for all of your supposed happenings occuring. You know october 7th, just like in 1948/67 and 1973 israel was invaded yet again, for the 4th time by arabs. This time it had 1200+ of its civilians along with many other nationalities mass murdered at close range. Plus another 250 odd hostages taken in true terrorist style.Just to make certain that israel would have to retaliate. So then the hamas propagaganda narrative of colateral civilian casualties could be used to draw in other arab/muslim nations and terror groups to join in with their holy jihad. Which is the total destruction of israel. From the river to the sea. And with it no negotiation. And you support no negotiation? Really! The same propaganda narrative that you are now being duped into supporting. Just like putins state funded propaganda duped a lot of those supposed independant journalists you mention above. So when are the ICC going to bring charges then? If the totally uncorruptable UN, the geneva convention(which is a treaty by the way, not a court ruling) and the pacifists at amnesty international have all decided that israel is guilty without trial. The stopping of water etc israel admitted was an attempt to try and use it to negotate the release of the hostages. As for the bloodbath now occuring in gaza that is exactly what hamas wanted and planned for. They are the ones ultimately responsible here. . The geneva convention states that parties in conflict are to try and prevent civilian losses as much as possible. Proportional response is allowed tho, especially when responding to any attack on its own civilians. Thousands of rockets were launched by hamas at civilian targets in israel after the war against hamas was declared. If it wasnt for the iron dome then israeli civilian casualties would have been just as high as in gaza. So hitting the command centres and rocket launch sites were the rockets were coming from had to be a priority to any country protecting its citizens . That has to be taken into consideration here. So too, where the geneva convention mentions about warning civilians to leave in advance of military strikes and actions. Which israel did for 3 weeks along with leaflets dropped advising civilians to move south of the wadi gaza. Plus they are sacrificing their own soldiers in a land invasion as well to try and limit the civilian losses. They could have done what putin did to grozny allepo and mariupol instead and simply flattened all of it . This was always going to be a bloodbath. Just as hamas intended it to be. The apartheid you mention. Maybe if hamas hadnt been organising suicide bombings against israeli civilians for many years then all the checkpoints, walls, fences and tight security wouldnt have been required. The balfour declaration didnt begin israel in 1948. That was earlier in the century. It was the UN in 1948 that decided on how the territory was divided up afer its previous owners, the british empire left. It also had the another empire controlling it before that. .The ottaman empire.

  56.  @wellardme  The 3 (of the 13) points in the minsk agreement putin refused to recognise. 4. To start a dialogue on interim self-government for the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, in accordance with Ukrainian law, and acknowledge their special status by parliamentary resolution. 9. Restoration of full control of the state border by the government of Ukraine. 10. Withdrawal of all foreign armed formations, military equipment and mercenaries. Plus the biggest peace deal game breaker of course......invading the very nation the peace deasl was with, and with it a UN recognised sovereign nation. But of course he doesnt recognise them as a sovereign nation. Which is 100% the reason why he and his fascist/nationalist imperialist supporters want to kill democratic ukraine, especially the democratic bit. He wants to renew his love in again with his beloved ussr. Dictators in search of lost empires. Mussolini, hitler and now putin. Just a bit of history about ukraine, pre maidan. 80 odd years of russification has to be taken into account. From stalin times through the soviet era up to 1991. Thats why russian culture/language etc was and still is to a degree, ingrained into ukranian culture. In 1991 ukraine voted 92% to leave the union with russia. All the oblasts and regions voted in favour including crimea and the donbas region. Ukraine then followed a similar route as yeltsins russia with attempts at fast tracking democracy and western style capitalism. The lack of legal accountability though ended up with oligarch corruption in both countries. Putin then took over around 2000 in russia. He, amongst many ex soviet hardliners, never recognised that 1991 vote and so set out to return a form of russian domination on all of its former soviet states that had left during the break up of the ussr. Putins attempts in ukraine began politically with yanukovych in the elections of 2004. His state funded tv media had begun its propaganda methods, not only in russia, but in all the border areas of its former soviet states, including ukraine. Pro russian olgarchs were also financing and involved in it all too. Yanukovych won the 2004 election but claims of corruption created a massive demonstration in kiev. The orange revolution as it became known then forced a rerun of the election after ukraines highest court ruled that there was indeed electoral corruption. His "poisoned" opponent victor yushchenko winning the rerun comfortably. He was pro west/democracy and in power for 5 years up till 2010. Attempted to join NATO along with georgia, but germany and france vetoed their application as they wanted a more economically friendly relationship with putin instead. He also began preliminary negotiations for ukraine to join the EU. In 2010 yanukovych won a close run election that was deemed fair by international observers. His 3 years saw the NATO bid scrapped altogether. Increasing oppression of his political opponents. The constitution changed to help that oppression. The jailing of his main political opponent yulia tymoshenko. And the most fateful decision of all to scrap the proposed union with the EU for one with the very country the people voted 92% to leave in 1991. So not surprisingly the ukranian people werent having any of that so another revolution started late in 2013. This time called the revolution of dignity or maidan. It began peacefully at first but as the police became more hardline in their approach the numbers demonstrating and the violence grew. Yanukovych, as you would expect from a putin clone, sent in his special police berkut unit to open fire on unarmed demonstrators. 120 died with thousands injured. No way could he survive that bloodbath. He fled, and the folowing morning the duma reformed and voted to strip him of his power and arranged a new election which petro poroshenko later won. The constitution was reinstated and tymoshenko released. Evidence was also found of voting corruption in his abandoned palace casting doubt on his earlier election win. Since Maidan putin has adopted a much more extreme military approach to achieve that original objective. Culminating in february 22 last year.

  80. Regarding the bengali famine. There was actually a war cabinet. Churchill wasnt making those decisions alone. Labours clem atlee became deputy pm in it. Bevin, Chamberlain, Eden, Halifax, Greenwood, Beaverbrook, Wood and Anderson who replaced chamberlain when he died also.. So to blame churchill alone is just nonsense imho. Also the official 1945 enquiry found the national indian and local bengal governments foremostly responsible along with the viceroy at the time Linithglow. With the imperial government(war cabinet) also criticised. Tbf the local indian government and national officials had used their famine relief methods on previous famines and they had been successful. This famine though was far worse than previous and needed much firmer action. Confiscation of all grain/rice and rationing needed to be introduced immediately which wasnt as they used the other economic style methods which had worked previously. By the time the newly appointed viceroy wavell intervened with help from the british army one and a half million had starved to death. Even after rationing another one and a half million died after as people were too weak to fight off disease. A terrible tragedy. The uk government/cabinet has to take some share of the blame too. Way too slow in reacting or maybe not realising how bad the situation really was? No social media/world news in those days remember. Plus you have to take into account that there "there was a war on". Bengal is where the japanese were coming through. The uk was preparing for d day. The japanese had occupied all the coastline and land to the east. Which previously supplied bengal with their grain and they were now bombing the bengal bay from where the aid had to come. Plus there was a huge storm on the western coast of india which destroyed a huge grain storage there which exasperated the problem.. The independants article is reliant on a book written by a modern day indian lady who understandably hates the british empire and wants to rubbish a major part of it. Just like a lot of modern day indian nationalists like modi, hate the uk and its past imperialism too. The independant is also anti conservative and is also more than happy to rubbish a conservative icon whenever it can.

  86. Correct about putin wrong about NATO.. The NATO narrative is just one of the excuse he uses to justify his special military disaster. Ukranian nazis, genocide in the donbass are the 2 others. The real reason is simple. Imperialism. It was known just a few days into the invasion when....... The Kremlin’s propaganda publication RIA-Novosti accidentally published an article that was to be published after the rapid regime change in Ukraine. It was quickly removed, but the Internet Archive web service managed to save it. It was written by kremlin propagandist petr akopov......Sorry about the length but it wont let me use a link. Its long but it describes exactly why putin is invading ukraine. The "little russians" are the ukranians and the "greater russians" not surprisingly are describing themselves. A new world is being born before our eyes. Russia’s military operation in Ukraine has ushered in a new era – in three dimensions at once. And of course, in the fourth, internal Russian. Here begins a new period both in ideology and in the very model of our socio-economic system – but this is worth talking about separately a little later. Russia is restoring its unity; the tragedy of 1991, this terrible catastrophe in our history, its unnatural dislocation, has been overcome. Yes, at a great cost, yes, through the tragic events of a virtual civil war, because now brothers, separated by belonging to the Russian and Ukrainian armies, are still shooting at each other, but there will be no more Ukraine as anti-Russia. Russia is restoring its historical fullness, gathering the Russian world, the Russian people together – in its entirety of Great Russians, Belarusians and Little Russians. If we had abandoned this, if we had allowed the temporary division to take hold for centuries, then we would not only betray the memory of our ancestors, but would also be cursed by our descendants for allowing the disintegration of the Russian land. Vladimir Putin has assumed, without a drop of exaggeration, a historic responsibility by deciding not to leave the solution of the Ukrainian question to future generations. After all, the need to solve it would always remain the main problem for Russia – for two key reasons. And the issue of national security, that is, the creation of anti-Russia out of Ukraine and an outpost for the West to put pressure on us, is only the second most important among them. The first would always be the complex of a divided people, the complex of national humiliation – when the Russian house first lost part of its foundation (Kyiv), and then was forced to come to terms with the existence of two states, not one, but two peoples. That is, either to abandon their history, agreeing with the insane versions that “only Ukraine is the real Rus,” or to gnash one’s teeth helplessly, remembering the times when “we lost Ukraine.” Returning Ukraine, that is, turning it back to Russia, would be more and more difficult with every decade – recoding, de-Russification of Russians and inciting Ukrainian Little Russians against Russians would gain momentum. And in the event of the consolidation of the full geopolitical and military control of the West over Ukraine, its return to Russia would become completely impossible – we would have to fight for it with the Atlantic bloc. Now this problem is gone – Ukraine has returned to Russia. This does not mean that its statehood will be liquidated, but it will be reorganized, re-established and returned to its natural state as a part of the Russian world. Within what boundaries, in what form will the alliance with Russia be consolidated (through the CSTO and the Eurasian Union or the Union State of Russia and Belarus)? This will be decided after the end is put in the history of Ukraine as anti-Russia. In any case, the period of the split of the Russian people is coming to an end. Here begins the second dimension of the coming new era – it concerns Russia’s relations with the West. Not even Russia, but the Russian world, that is, three states, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, acting in the geopolitical dimension as a whole. These relations have entered a new stage – the West sees the return of Russia to its historical borders in Europe. And it is loudly indignant at this, although in the depths of his soul it must admit that it could not be otherwise. Did anyone in the old European capitals, in Paris and Berlin, seriously believe that Moscow would give up Kyiv? That the Russians will forever be a divided people? And at the same time when Europe is uniting, when the German and French elites are trying to seize control of European integration from the Anglo-Saxons and assemble a united Europe? Forgetting that the unification of Europe became possible only thanks to the unification of Germany, which took place according to the good Russian (albeit not very smart) will. To swipe after that also on Russian lands is not even the height of ingratitude, but of geopolitical stupidity. The West as a whole, and even more so Europe in particular, did not have the strength to keep Ukraine in its sphere of influence, and even more so to take Ukraine for itself. In order not to understand this, they had to be just geopolitical fools. More precisely, there was only one option: to bet on the further collapse of Russia, that is, the Russian Federation. However, the fact that it did not work should have been clear twenty years ago. Moreover, already fifteen years ago, after Putin’s Munich speech, even the deaf could hear – Russia is returning. Now the West is trying to punish Russia for the fact that it returned, for not justifying its plans to profit at its expense, for not allowing the expansion of the western space to the east. Seeking to punish us, the West thinks that relations with it are of vital importance to us. However, this has not been the case for a long time already – the world has changed, and this is well understood not only by Europeans, but also by the Anglo-Saxons who rule the West. No amount of Western pressure on Russia will lead to anything. Losses from the sublimation of confrontation will be on both sides, but Russia is ready for them morally and geopolitically. Nevertheless, for the West itself, an increase in the degree of confrontation incurs huge costs – and the main ones are not at all economic. Europe, as part of the West, wanted autonomy – the German project of European integration does not make strategic sense while maintaining the Anglo-Saxon ideological, military and geopolitical control over the Old World. Moreover, it cannot be successful, because the Anglo-Saxons need a controlled Europe. However, Europe needs autonomy for another reason as well — in case the States go into self-isolation (as a result of growing internal conflicts and contradictions) or focus on the Pacific region, where the geopolitical center of gravity is moving. The confrontation with Russia, into which the Anglo-Saxons are dragging Europe, deprives the Europeans of even the chances of independence – not to mention the fact that in the same way Europe is trying to impose a break with China. If now the Atlanticists are happy that the “Russian threat” will unite the Western bloc, then in Berlin and Paris they cannot fail to understand that, having lost hope for autonomy, the European project will simply collapse in the medium term. That is why independent-minded Europeans are now completely uninterested in building a new iron curtain on their eastern borders – realizing that it will turn into a corral for Europe. Whose age (more precisely, half a millennium) of global leadership is over in any case – but various options for its future are still possible. Because the construction of a new world order – and this is the third dimension of current events – is accelerating, and its contours are more and more clearly visible through the spreading cover of Anglo-Saxon globalization. The multipolar world has finally become a reality – the operation in Ukraine is not capable of rallying anyone but the West against Russia. Because the rest of the world sees and understands perfectly well – this is a conflict between Russia and the West, this is a response to the geopolitical expansion of the Atlanticists, this is Russia’s return of its historical space and its place in the world. China and India, Latin America and Africa, the Islamic world and Southeast Asia – no one believes that the West leads the world order, much less sets the rules of the game. Russia has not only challenged the West, it has shown that the era of Western global domination can be considered completely and finally over. The new world will be built by all civilizations and centers of power, naturally, together with the West (united or not) – but not on its terms and not according to its rules. Imperialism. Plain and simple.

The far right in ukraine polled less then 2% in their last election with no mps elected. Far less than other democracies. Zelenskys party is centre left and poroshenkos is in the centre. "His remarks came a day after the Byline Times outlet published a number of detailed and serious allegations against Mr Wootton, claiming that it had evidence he had pretended to be a man named Martin Branning. As for millions on social media acting as judge, jury and then convicting on political opinion. That sounds exactly like the cesspit that is twatter and why i left it long ago. Twatterites need to leave criminal investigations to the police. You know. The people we pay to investigate crime.
