Neither is the EU. Thats why i voted brexit. How can you claim another vote should be done on a democratic principle when the result could be rejoining an undemocratic institution? You do realise policIes are made in the EU by unelected commisioners.

Yep. Thats easy. Democracy. Our elected representatives can now actually enact the policies we elected them for. Unlike before when an unelected EU commisioner quango decide for us. With our so called MEP representaives just there to rubberstamp them through.

Yep. Fry has a right to his opinion and so has mark and others in replying to him. So i dont know what the point is you are making?

Then vote lib dem then or lobby your party to adopt whatever you propose if you actually believe in democracy. Or create your own party. You wont get my support tho as i do believe in democracy first and foremost. And the current federalised EU doesnt hold democracy dear enough for me.

27.8% didnt vote so didnt care/were happy enough with whatever the outcome. So i would argue 65.2% (37.4%+27.8%) of the national vote were in favour/didnt care/ or happy enough with a brexit vote. Which leaves the minority 34.8% that wanted to remain as a minority view at that time.

The other 27.8% who didnt vote then were obviously happy/not interested in the result either way. So i would therefore argue brexit had 57.8% of the overall national vote supporting and happy enough with it to not vote against it.
