  6.  james Deer  There were no afghans in mosul. Only ISIS. And it was actually the iraq army along with various militias and the kurdish peshmerger who eventually liberated it. The arty was used probably too prevent heavy losses from street fighting due to IS mentality. IS had committed genocide in the city on various groups for the 3 years it held it and destroyed lots of historically famous buildings as well.. Rumsfeld was also US defence secretary in 2001 to 2006 11 years before the mosul recapture.

Nemtsov/navalny. 10.Putin promotes extreme far right nationalism and acts like extreme far right nationalists of the past like hitler and mussolini. 11.Putin is an imperial nationalist that wants to recreate a soviet/russian empire again. 12.Putin facilitates nationalist and military ideology/education for russian children. 13.Putin lives in a palace while many of his people live in squalor. 14.Putin treats his mobilised like cattle off to slaughter. 15.Putin faciltates "filtration" camps for ukranian refugees. 16.Putin facilitates the russification and torture of ukranian refugees and ukranians trapped in occupied territories. 17.Putin prevents osce election observers from observing russias supposed elections. 18.Putin rewards successful proxies/assassins places in his state duma. etc etc etc.

Not in a devastated region where the people who are supposed to vote have virtually all been displaced. Then youve got to take into account all the putin propaganda that his tv has been broadcasting to all these border areas for the last 22 years. Plus there has already been a referendum in ukraine within a peaceful environment, free from outside propaganda, in 1991 when the nation voted 92% for independance with all oblasts voting in favour. Including the donbas and crimea.

Dont you think that the UN monitors present during those 8 years would have noticed this genocide occuring? Heres another one about lying western media. Thats the western media that are left, centre and right leaning politically. So there are checks and balances. Putins media is putins media. Thats why it has been sanctioned. Get back to being civilised again and it might be reinstated. The US has been the leader of the free world for sure thats why their always the ones being targetted for criticism by people like you with the opposite viewpoint. If democracy and all the freedoms associated with it are under threat then for sure the US and its western allies will counter that threat. Whether it be islamic fundamentalist groups declaring a terror war on the west after 9/11 or in supporting peaceful countries being invaded by imperialistic dictators. At times errors are made. Atrocities committed. But they are investigated and prosecuted as western military do have rules of engagement which are constantly being reviewed and strengthened. Unlike putins military which has shown its true colours recently in syria and now ukraine

Just like you not mentioning the reasons for the division of the former yugoslavia is showing a lack of knowledge or to percieve another point of view........Ethnic cleansing and genocidal behaviour from all sides. Mainly tho from the serbs as they had the bigger army. Thats the point your missing. If different ethnic groups cant get along together then you need to seperate them into different states. Then over time with peace and prosperity the region will settle and maybe even join back together at some point in the future.

The west response was the "war on terror" Which the west has now seemingly won as no terror attacks since afghanistan. Obama said it would take 20 years to win it. Also the west uses rules of engagement which russian military doesnt comprehend. The western military will always try to clear out a building with troops to limit civilian casualties whereas putins lot just flattens it with bombs. Grosny, aleppo, mariupol and virtually every other ukranian village, town and city in his way for example.
