@marcvslicinivscrassvs7536 Did you not hear about the "kamikazi" and "iwo jima" japanese mentality of the time. Not just the military. The civilian population were propagandised so much to fear americans that they were throwing themselves off cliffs rather than be under their control during some of the previous US island invasions. Thousands died but it saved millions of lives in trying to invade japan. Plus it ended WW2 which cost 60 odd million worldwide. They could have used nukes in korea, vietnam etc right up to today but havnt, as back then it was a different era, and truman ultimately is responsible for the decision to use them. It also set up the MAD nuclear scenario which has kept the peace between the superpowers for the last 75 odd years. Putin is using that threat not to keep the peace here though. He is using it to keep his illegal invasion going without outside interference.

They burned several homes and endangered civilians. The western military attempts to avoid civilian casualties in war time. Holds enquiries if required and punishes those that disobey the rules. Which after 20 years, has been won as no major terror attacks on the west since leaving afghanistan. Its called national security or the protection of a nations citizens. Just like putin did to the chechnyan rebels after beslan and other terror attacks on his citizens. Though he was far more brutal and indiscriminate in his response than the west. Now putin attacks ukraines civilians just like those same terrorists did.

@ZizaFaye-ls4nf Ever heard of the "war on terror" after 9/11. Do they teach history where you live? Sunni islamic fundamentalism declared a terror war on western civilisation. So guess what? The west responded and went after them. That war took 20 years to win. No territory has been annexed. Unlike what putin has done in ukraine. The west do not deliberately target civilians either. Unlike putins military in ukraine and syria.
