@Jreft Prevented further and more numerous deaths and ended the war. Iwo jima and kamikazes were the reason for it.

@aftech2148 1. Ended a world war and prevented a conventional war bloodbath. Iwo jima and the kamikazes were a foretaste of what was to come. 2. They didnt invade. They went to support south vietnam against the communist north which was trying to invade and impose communism on them. 3. The "war on terror" after 9/11. Sunni islamic fundamentalism declared a terror war on western civilisation so the west obliged. The west winning as no major terror attacks on the west since leaving afghan. I dont see war crimes. I see the use of a weapon that by its use became a major contributor to peace between major nations as a deterrent. It saved far more lives than it cost during a time when millions were lost. I see a failed foray into helping a state fight an invasding imperialism and finally a national security issue for the whole of the free world. Not just the USA.

@roberttelford745 Thats the US empire that has left, centre and right political media. So you get checks and balances. Putins media is putins media including nobodies like you just doing as your master bids. One day you might be able to think for yerself

@mikecartlidge5355 Is that the 8 year genocide that putin claimed which the UN monitors there never noticed? Ukraine never started this conflict. Putin started it when he came into power in 2000. Hes been trying through political, media propaganda, military incursions and now a full on invasion to recreate the old USSR empire into a "greater russian world" so it can rival the west. He is a dictator who murders and jails any opposition. He runs a full scale propaganda state that now has no opposition views. He invades in search of lost empires. He promotes nationalism both home and abroad. He adopts swastika type symbols. He is surrounded by nationalist advisers. Its almost as if hitler is reborn. Its fascism. No doubt in my mind.
