No problems with yeltsins russia for 10 years then putin arrives on the scene. All the ukrainian border areas with russia were then served with dozens of his proxy run 24 hour tv stations that pumped in his propoganda thats why its now become so divided. Been going on since he took over in the early 2000s. Not just for ukraine either. Russia today RT for example was once a simple show promoting russian culture till he got hold of it. Hes ex KGB ffs . Using propaganda is his speciality. Using it on his own people and even in the west too. Looks like youve all fallen for it too sadly. Nobody wants a a war i agree. The west is simply ramping it up and using it as a deterrent. Putin doesnt want a war either but he would like to get hold of some parts of ukraine for sure. Only by proxy tho. He just needs us to show weakness and a proxy invasion similar to crimea will take place in the disputed areas. As for being his buddy no thank you. Him and china got too much in common.
