@ecaeas4439 Did you actually watch the coronation ceremony. It went out of its way to represent the diversity in our societywhich it represents.

@ecaeas4439 Hes not our head of state. Hes our symbolic head of state so he dont need to be elected. Why dont you get your mp on your behalf to lobby for change to their expenditure? If its as bad as you say then multiple mps would support your cause. We do live in a democracy after all.

@ecaeas4439 Dont be so over dramatic. 100 or so years ago kids in the uk couldnt afford shoes to wear on their feet. Never mind food. Today nobody starves or suffers that level of inequality. Everyone owns cars and mobile phones and are equally given the best life chances through education. Plus there is a safety net for those who struggle. Also you dont have to be rich to live happy and fulfilled lives. If this country is so bad then why do so many risk their lives in trying to get and live here? The monarchy more than pays its way through tourism and its soft power to aid the economy. It promotes and supports numerous charities and good causes. It promotes and supports culture and the arts. It promotes and rewards good citizenship and success. It promotes and supports the UK military. Most of all it represents our identity. 1200 years of kings and queens. No longer powerful and imperialistic but purely symbolic. Swap all this for republicanism. No thank you.

@ecaeas4439 Heres the old socialist equality argument again. Socialism/communism doesnt work. Its human nature for people to want to improve their standing in life for themselves and their loved ones. People do not want equality, They just want the opportunity to work hard and prosper.

@da90sReAlvloc So you want 24/7 public and media attention till the day you die? Also the modern day monarchy has no power. Sorry for your loss. I lost both my parents in 2013. Mum on the same day she gave birth to me. Life sure can be cruel at times.
