  1. He was there due to the "war on terror" after islamic fundamentalist groups being hosted in certain middle eastern countries declared a terror war on western civilisation after 9/11. That war lasted 20 years. Hopefully now with no major terror attacks on the west since afghan that war has been won. Tho the arab spring i guess has a lot to do with the syrian situation as well as ISIS setting up camp in there as well..

  3. Maybe about time the US had more than 2 parties then the extreme right and the extreme left could have their own parties. The more parties there are then maybe the less "out of control" politics you would get? Lumping everyone to the left in one party and everyone to the right in the other is just not helping "centrist" politics which is where most people usually reside.

  5. The 2 trillion dollars the US spent were on national security. In other words protecting its citizens with its war on terror after 9/11. It took 20 odd years to win that war. It has been won as no major terror attacks on the west since afghan. Obama said it would take 20 years to win.

This channel stands by ukraine so this channel is campaigning for ukraine. Democracy in action. Love it.

  7. Maybe its time for US to have more than 2 parties. Lumping everybody from the right into one party and everybody from the left into the other just seems to me to be against finding centrist political solutions which is where most people reside. If the far right and far left had their own parties then maybe a lot of the division that seems to have arisen recently in the US could have been averted.

  10. Ukraine was corrupt under yanukovych pre 2014 as there were a lot of pro russian oligarchs supporting him. Corruption was rife in ukraine then as it mirrored russia. Maidan was about ukraine releasing itself from that putin/russian led influence/corruption.

  11. RT and putins other media has not just been in america, its been broadcast internationaly since he came to power. Its pushing nationalism and anything that underminds democracy. Im old enough to remember the original pre putin era "russia today" tv channel that was broadcast to the west. It was a gentle non political programme promoting russian culture. Till putin got hold of it. Then its pro nationalist anti american anti western views attracted a lot of politicians here in the uk to go on it. Former labour leader corbyn is one for example and ex scottish national party leader salmond was even hosting an RT channel the day of the invasion. Putin has not only been duping his own people but supposed political intelligencia in the west too. I would argue that his propaganda is his most potent weapon.

  13. Yep promoting and supporting nationalist ideology. Also badly thought through immigration decisions has a lot to do with that rise. Merkel inviting all of africa into her country for example. Indirectly causing the meditteranean tragedy of lives lost there and then eu countries on the immigrants route struggling to cope. With others closing borders and electing far right leaders who now support putin.
