It was done to hinder the german war effort. Twelve war production factories were destroyed, and around 100 more were damaged. Thousands of acres of farmland were ruined. Germans instantly referred to it after the raid as the "Mohne catastrophe". Even albert speer admitted that it was "a disaster for us for a number of months". About a thousand died. The same as how many died in the blitz of my city plymouth. Though half of the losses in germany were pows and forced labourers. The bombing of coventry was done for the same strategic purpose. To hurt our industrial base.

Damn every brit as well. Including some ex political leaders. Corbyn of the labour party and salmond of the SNP amongst quite a few uk polticians that appeared on it . Salmond was even hosting a show for RT on the day of the invasion. They both likely enjoyed RTs anti west, anti NATO, anti american imperialist narrative. As well as the socialist style nationalisation that has re emerged in putins russia. Maybe seeing the old socialist red flag re appearing warmed their hearts too. I wonder if theyve worked out yet the difference between their left wing socialism and the far right (Z swastika style) national socialist mafia state that russia has become?. I also wonder if these people actually believe in democracy? And the people having the power over them as much as i do?. As RT has always been anti democatic in nature. As that is always what putin has feared the most. Its never been about nato or ukranian nazis. Its about him fearing the power change that true democracy would bring.

They spend 1.5 bilion usd/112 billion rubles a year on their propaganda. Half of it goes on state tv/radio and RT. Its also been tripled since the invasion. Any opposition media left long ago. Putin has proxies controlling other media outlets as well. As you would expect in a mafia state
