  1. They were honouring veterans of the UK convoys years ago pre putin. There was also UK/russian cities twinning with each other. My city plymouth twinned with novorosik. Even had a new major road named after it. Novorosik way. After the invasion it became zelensky way. Tho the council is going to keep the name as they dont believe that the russian people should be blamed for putins imperialist actions.
