I reckon its that they only have 2 parties to vote for. Therefore all the extremities get lumped into one party or the other. If the far right or the far left had their own parties. then the moderate majority could ignore them at election time, like we do here in the UK. It also forces the main parties into the centre ground if they want to be elected. As with blair, cameron and now probably starmer.

Trump is just another selfish nationalist. Nationalists like all political extremes hate democracy and all its associated freedoms. Putin doesnt hate nato. Putin hates democracy. Just like trump not accepting the last election result. Just like you supporting trump. As a UK conservative voter i say to all americans beware nationalists posing as conservatives/republicans.

Nationalism is allowed in a democracy unfortunately. Hopefully it never gains majority support as what has happened in putins russia might end up happening in the states. Strong leaders turn into dictators who then change constitutions to serve their purpose. Just like putin in russia and just like his puppet clone yanukovych did in ukraine pre maidan.

Ever heard of MAD? Mutually assured destruction. Its kept the peace between the worlds superpowers for over 75 years. Its also why putin is invading a nation that doesnt have that mad security. Plus he is also been using it in his propaganda to try and reduce western support for ukraine by continually threatening to use it.

Thats easy. Some republicans are nationalists not true conservatives. They love strong leaders who are selfish like themselves. A lot of them call themselves christian too unbelievably.

Because in the democratic civilised west people have freedom of expression. As opposed to putinopia where musk would be jailed/deleted if he countered the kremlin view.
