  1. Could someone from the states please explain to me why an old man with significant signs of dementia is still standing for the democratic party in the forthcoming election? The vast majority of non political voters are never going to vote for a candidate in his condition. Polling is already showing a massive landslide for trump so why doesnt the democrats change their leader? Is it a rule for a standing POTUS to stand again or is it because he is too stubborn to stand down for someone else?

Zelenskys party is centre left and poroshenkos centre right. The former nazi leader and founder of the private militia azov stood in that election and got trounced. Azov has been incorporated into the ukranian professional army and been de politicised. You should try reading the news back to when putin came to power, like i have.
