  1. I agree with you about trump not going into negotiations with putin whilst still aiding ukraine. As he needs to be nuetral in the negotiation. But sadly it means more innocent ukranian civilians and soldiers are going to die because of it. 500+ ukranian kids have already been killed by putin. Amongst 10k+ civilians overall. To me its just not morally right. Plus putin could delay or even deliberately use that negotiation time to invade and annex further territory.

  2. NATO expansion is one of 3 excuses that putin uses to justify his special military disaster. The others being ukranian nazis and his supposed donbass genocide during the 8 years after minsk 2014. Only 2% voted far right in ukraines last election with no mps elected. Far less than other democracies. So much for ukranian nazis. If there was a genocide on ethnic russians in the donbass region occuring during those 8 years after minsk how come the UN monitors on the frontline those 8 years never noticed it? How come putin never raised this genocide at the UN during those 8 years either? He raised it for his own people tho to justify to them his illegal invasion. As for NATO expansion, i prefer to call it democracy expansion as thats one of the requirements to join. The crucial thing to remember with NATOs expansion is that not one inch of territory has been invaded and annexed in doing so. Unlike putin in ukraine. Putin doesnt fear NATO and its expansion. Why would he? As he has those nuclear weapons he keeps threatening us with for starters. Its the spread of democracy he fears and it expanding into russia, and so threatening his power base. Its also why far right nationalist politicians like orban, farage and trump side with him on this as they seemingly dont care about democracy either. Maybe the corrupt capitalist state that putin has built is more their style? As for the real reason. Imperialism. Plain and simple. To reunite the "greater russians"which is how they describe themselves, the "belorussians" and their so called "little russians" of ukraine back together again. Into his new "greater russian world" empire that would once again rival the west. Just like putins beloved ussr soviet empire used to do. He first tried politically through his puppet yanukovych and when that failed at euro maidan he turned to his military. Using those 8 years after minsk to build up his military for the invasion. Proven by their ever increasing military spending during that period.
