@LORRAINE54500 There was an independance referendum in 1991. 92% voted in favour. All the regions and oblasts in ukraine were in favour including donbas and crimea.. Ukraine was then recognised as an independant sovereign state by all the worlds nations including russia.. One man never did tho and unfortunately for ukraine, russia and the world he became president.
