  7. Does this guy know that these demonstrations are being organised by people with links to hamas? Also about the proportionality of israels response. The geneva convention says that It has to do with the importance of the target to the amount of colateral civilian damage caused. It is not a black and white issue. If hamas is still continuing to fire its rockets indiscriminately at israels civilians, which it has been doing, then surely israel has the right to target their command hqs and rocket sites in response? The geneva convention also mentions that the parties involved in a conflict must attempt at all times to try and warn and prevent civilian casualties. Israel have been warning/telling/leafletting for nearly a month now for civilians to move south of the wadi gaza. Plus they are sacrificing their own soldiers with a ground invasion to try and limit the civilian losses. They could instead do what putin did to the muslim chechnyan rebels after they committed similar terror attacks on his civilians. He flattened grozny. Nobody in the west or middle east batted an eyelid back then. Wonder if it would have been different if the jews had carried it out?

  11. In wars civilians are always the ones who suffer the most. Thats why most civilised countries try to avoid them at all cost. So i wonder who started this one? I wonder if one of the parties involved might have invaded the other and then mass murdered 1200+ civilians and took 200+ hostages. I wonder if that might have had something to do with it? Plus the ratio of colateral damage to both parties the hamas propagandist mentions here is due to israel having the iron dome otherwise they would be suffering just as many civilian casualties, if not more. As hamas has been indiscriminately firing thousands of its rockets at civilian targets as opposed to israel targetting the launch sites and other military targets. Tho unfortunately in densely populated urban areas colateral civilian losses are bound to be high. They have given warnings and are now sacrificing their own troops in a land invasion to try and limit the civilian casualties. Maybe if hamas had stopped firing its rockets then israel might just have stopped firing theirs. Then again do hamas want this to end? Those demonstrators banners call for muslim armies to liberate palestine. So this whole bloodbath seems to be hamas and its supporters way to try and draw other muslim/arab nations into this holy jihad of theirs. Which isnt a peaceful negotiated 2 state solution but the complate destruction of israel from the river to the sea. With seemingly the ethnic cleansing of all jews in the region as well judging by october 7th.

To stop the boers from fighting a guerilla war from their homesteads.When the uk parliament eventually found out about it by sea as there was no social media in those days They first sent doctors and nurses to run the camps. When more evidence came back from them then they stopped the procedure altogether. Most of the fatalities was due to poor hygeine in the military tented camps. Dysentry was the biggest killer. I be.lieve kitchener was the guy utimately responsible for it.

Israel have stated that they will agree to a ceasefire if the hostages are released so why dont these misguided people demonstrate in favour of that? Not that hamas will agree to it anyway as they want this to be a bloodbath so they can draw in all the other muslim/arab nations and terror groups into the conflict with them. They want another repeat of the 1948/67/73 arab invasions of israel though this time with the jews successfully being swept off the map and into the sea. Good luck with that then as israel have nuclear weapons now, There wont be no region left never mind a single palestinian state.

There was also the corruption and ever authoritarian methods used by yanukovychs government which led to the demonstration. Including changing the constitution and jailing his main political opponent yulia tymoshenko. Authoritarian methods which eventually led him to ordering his special berkut police unit to open fire on unarmed demonstrators killing 120 and injuring thousands at maidan. There had already been a similar demonstration against yanukovych in 2004 when the orange revolution overturned a yanukovych election victory by corruption. Which was proven as his poisoned opponent yuschenko won the rerun comfortably. Evidence of electoral corruption was also found in his abandoned palace when he fled after maidan casting doubt on his 2010 electoral victory. The only history that matters is the current history. Which is showing that imperial extreme far right nationalism didnt die out with the second world war. Putin seemingly wanting to create this "greater russian world" empire. Similar to the soviet empire he was brought up and served under. First he tried politically with yanukovych and through his state funded propaganda that was being broadcast to the russian speaking border areas of ukraine ever since he came to power. No doubt causing the political and later ethnic division required. After that failed he turned to his military and his failed 3 day regime change in kiev. Which has now turned into, not only a complete disaster for him, but a tragedy for the many ukranians and his own that have lost their lives through his dictatorial imperialist ambitions".   33. Yep it does seem a bit silly to expect the israeli government which is a unity govt now afterall to not retaliate in any way or form and just condemn verbally instead. It was the biggest mass murder of jews since the holocaust plus their territory was invaded. No nation in the world is going to sit back and not retaliate at that. As it was, there was 3 weeks of negotiations going on behind the scenes plus warnings and leaflet drops telling palestinians to move south of the wadi gaza. The israelis now are saying that if hamas want a ceasefire then they need to release all the hostages. I dont think they had any other choice and they are doing the best they can to avoid civilian casualties.

  41. It was the UN who actually divided the territory tho in 1948. Both the jewish and arab populations had grown in the region previously due to immigration. Jews for the jewish state and arab immigrant workers. Who moved to the region to work on the infrastructure projects for the british and french empires. In palestine 1914 jews numbered 94k and muslims numbered 525k. By 1947 jews numbered 630k and muslims 1181k. There was also a sizeable rise in the christian population as well. From wiki.

Conservatives have been centre right since cameron brought them back from their exile. The vast majority of voters are in the centre.
