  3. Yep it does seem a bit silly to expect the israeli government which is a unity govt now afterall to not retaliate in any way or form and just condemn verbally instead. It was the biggest mass murder of jews since the holocaust plus their territory was invaded. No nation in the world is going to sit back and not retaliate at that. As it was, there was 3 weeks of negotiations going on behind the scenes plus warnings and leaflet drops telling palestinians to move south of the wadi gaza. The israelis now are saying that if hamas want a ceasefire then they need to release all the hostages. I dont think they had any other choice and they are doing the best they can to avoid civilian casualties.
